Follow these few simple rules to make pickup easy-peasy. Keep your cart:
Approximately 10 feet away from vehicles (to keep your car and our drivers safe!)
No more than 3 feet from the curb or edge of the street
Approximately 5 feet from other objects (like telephone poles and mailboxes)
With the handles and wheels facing away from the street
Find your next pickup date online or peruse the pickup schedule that arrives with your cart to find your scheduled service dates. Then, place your collection containers at the curb before 6:00 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day. Done and done!

If your address is within the city limits, you can get weekly pickups—choose from three cart sizes. Don’t have much to toss out? You can select a small bin for every-other-week service.

35-gallon cart: $27.05 per month
65-gallon cart: $46.95 per month
95-gallon cart: $57.55 per month
Bi-weekly service:
35-gallon cart: $18.40 per month
If you’re outside the Eugene city limits, we can come by weekly or every other week for your carts—just pick the size that works for you!

Please put your carts and bins in the street against the curb. The arrow on the lid should face the street, and the cart handles should face your house.
Place the carts at least three feet away from other carts, extra trash, parked cars, fences, trees, mailboxes, etc. Be careful not to block the bike lane—even trash carts should share the road with Eugene’s bikers! For a visual guide, download this handy PDF.
Our friendly drivers start their day early, so please have your carts and bins out by 6:00 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day—or the night before, if you’re not a morning person! We aim to come by around the same time each pickup, but with crazy weather, unpredictable traffic, and potential mechanical mishaps, your pickup time might vary from week to week.
Once the truck has come and gone, don’t forget to move your empty bins & carts off the curb by midnight in line with local ordinances.

Yes! Smaller (flattened) cardboard items can go right in the cart (so break down those boxes). But if you have a heap of cardboard, here’s what to do: break it down, cut it into pieces less than 3' x 3' (about the length of a guitar), and stack it next to your cart at the curb. Remember to chuck any non-recyclable packing material into the regular blue trash cart.
Your big 65-gallon green has plenty of space—fill it with just about everything you need to send to the recycling plant! The smaller red bin is for clean glass and certain recyclable fluids (in tightly sealed containers).
